Andrea Zito holds a master's degree in semiotics from the University of Bologna (2022) after completing a three-year degree in graphic design and art direction at NABA (2018). 

 

Since 2019, he has worked as an art director and designer between Bologna and Milan, collaborating with several communication agencies. He has worked as a designer for several Italian and international brands and contributed to integrated advertising campaigns.

 

Since 2023, he has been working with NABA's Chair of Semiotics as a teacher in the BA of Graphic design and art direction. 

 

His research in semiotics and art concerns the underlying and prospective processes of meaning in art, design, media, and advertising, as well as the processes of meaning formation, transformation, and normalization to the urban contemporary landscapes.

 

He actively participates in cultural events, organizing meetings, seminars, and workshops in collaboration with associations such as and local authorities. Since 2024, he has been a member of the ADCI - Art Directors Club Italiano, and IASS - International Association of Semiotics Studies.
